New Art Murals

Well done to Annarose Diver and Suzannah Carr on the completion of a new mural for our outdoor seating area. Thanks also to the TY students who helped with the design - taking inspiration from nature and the colourful abstract pattern work of Australian Artist Joan Blond.

Our new mural in room 306 was designed by Honor Geary - taking inspiration from advances in technology and the bright pattern work of Irish street artist Maser. The work was painted by Honor, with help from Caolagh Grimes, Caitlin McCauley and Salvatorie Diver. Thanks to Mr MacEoin for creating our perspex signage. Well done to all those involved on a fantastic new addition to our school artwork.
Art Trip to Paris 2025
In February, 35 5th and 6th year students travelled to Paris to visit art and cultural sites to gain more insight in the lives of the Impressionists and post Impressionists through viewing their Art in person. The students also had the opportunity to visit other Parisian sites through a sightseeing tour, a boat cruise and climbing the Arc de Triopmhe and seeing the views from the top of Montparnasse Tower. They also visited Montmartre, the Palace of Versailles, The Louvre, Musee d'Orsay and spent a day at Disneyland. It was a wonderful experience for all involved.

Junk Kouture:
Congratulations to TY student Rose Gaffey on progressing to the Dublin Final after a great performance at the Regionals in The Helix. Rose's design: Through her design, Redress, Rebuild, Remodel, Rose hoped to highlight the Mica and housing crisis in Donegal and across Ireland. All materials used in the dress were sourced from a building site - including cement, insulating foam and roof membrane.

Best of Luck to 'Pretty in Pink taking part in this years Junk Kouture Fashion Competition.
